The Trumpet Has Blown

Eze 33:1-6  Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,  (2)  Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them, When I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their coasts, and set him for their watchman:  (3)  If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people;  (4)  Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head.  (5)  He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul.  (6)  But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman's hand.

The prophet is a watchman to the house of Israel. His business is to warn sinners of their misery and danger. He must warn the wicked to turn from their way, that they may live. If souls perish through his neglect of duty, he brings guilt upon himself. See what those have to answer for, who make excuses for sin, flatter sinners, and encourage them to believe they shall have peace, though they go on. How much wiser are men in their temporal than in their spiritual concerns! They set watchmen to guard their houses, and sentinels to warn of the enemies' approach, but where the everlasting happiness or misery of the soul is at stake, they are offended if ministers obey their Master's command, and give a faithful warning; they would rather perish, listening to smooth things.

Now, I am not too concerned with the state of non Christians in America. They have rejected the truth, therefore we should not be surprised when they act, believe or say things contrary to the Word of God. I am however, very disappointed with the state of Christian America. We have fallen so far away from the biblical doctrine, most wouldn't know the Word if you hit them upside the head with it. The word Christian has lost its meaning, while it used to describe someone who believes in the unquestionable authority of the Word of God and would defend it no matter the cost. Now it describes someone who walks up to the altar, makes a confession of faith and attends service when they feel like it. One cannot become a Christian through confession only. Rom 10:9 says"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved". There is only one way to be saved, confess and believe. And if you do both of these, you will undoubtedly be converted. Conversion denotes the human volition and act by which man in obedience to the Divine summons determines to change the course of his life and turns to God. Rom_12:2 says "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God". And how do we know that a confessor of Christ has been converted? Mat 7:16-21  Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?  (17)  Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.  (18)  A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.  (19)  Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.  (20)  Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.  (21)  Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

The world today have no need of prophets, everything God would have us to know is in his word. We have been warned and the trumpet has sounded. If we share the beliefs of this world when it comes to abortion, adultery, fornication, homosexuality and same sex marriage or support those who do, this will be our fate. Ezekiel 33:4,5 Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head. He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. In November, Christians have to make a choice. In all actuality we have three choices, Obama, Romney or Neither. If we based our vote solely on our christian beliefs, we could neither vote for Obama who believes in abortion and same sex marriage or Romney who believes that God was man like us, the Trinity are separate, not one and Jesus is the spirit brother of Satan. Neither candidate, if elected, will push true Christian agendas, so if we vote, we must vote on the one that will cause the least amount of damage to the society we live in. Those who seek the truth can find it in abundance on the internet. What I have provided is only a small portion of what is out there.
